The Captain’s 1st Qualifier took place over a blisteringly sunny weekend at Rishton Golf Club, with golfers taking full advantage of the warm conditions across Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th.
A competitive field produced some outstanding performances, with Lee Gallagher claiming overall victory. His impressive round of 93, playing off 30, gave him a net score of 63 to secure 1st place.
Division winners also delivered strong rounds across the board. In Division 1, Craig Dinsdale carded 80 off 12 for a net 68. Division 2 was won by Paul Rogers with an 81 off 16, finishing on 65. Lucas Everett topped Division 3 with 85 off 18 for a net 67, while Robert Hutchinson claimed Division 4 honours with 89 off 24, also finishing on 65.
The best gross score of the weekend went to Stephen Dudgeon, whose excellent 75 stood out in the bright and testing conditions.
With clear skies and competitive scoring, the event proved to be a great success and an excellent start to the Captain’s qualifying series.
