The first hole is 346 yards, stroke index 5, where your drive needs to be in the centre of the fairway or slightly to the left to enable a good shot into the green which is elevated but well banked at the back of the green.

On the right of the fairway there is a jungle of trees and beyond is the the farm field which is out of bounds.

On the far left of the fairway is a lateral water hazard and beyond that is a pond which is also a water hazard before you come to the large bunker protecting the green.

At the back of the green there is a small copse of trees leaving a fairly difficult shot down to the green.

The second hole is 354 yards, stroke index 13, and is played from an elevated tee bed.

On the right of the fairway is a copse of trees designed to catch you out with a sliced drive leaving a difficult shot into the green.

On the left of the fairway is a small ditch just short of a very rough are  where you do not want to be.

The ground falls from right to left so your approach shot needs to be to the right hand corner of the green.

On the left of the green is a small copse of trees and a few trees beyond the green. There is nothing to stop your ball from running through the green and could finish on the 9th fairway.

To the right of the green is a  hollow very often very wet but not classed as a hazard.

The third hole is 381 yards, stroke index 1, with a copse of trees to the right of the fairway to catch a short ball as the ground falls away to the right.

Past the trees there is an open ditch which is difficult to get out of with any length.

To the left of the fairway is a grass mound and the fourth fairway ahead of which is a water hazard with a very steep mound in front of it.

Ahead is a large copse of trees separating the third and fourth fairways and rising up to the green. Again everything falls away to the right hand side of the fairway leading to some large trees on the far right.

Ahead of you is a bunker protecting the elevated green and a mound to the left of the green and the farm field ahead of the green which is out of bounds.

The fourth hole is a par 3, 244 yards, stroke index 7 with the farm field on the right hand side which is out of bounds.

Please do not drive off if there are any players on the 13th green.

There is a water hazard ditch ahead which starts off on the right hand side of the ditch to be very narrow and widens out on the left hand side to a wide bowl shape all of which is not in the hazard.

There is a copse of trees/bushes on the right hand side passed the 13th green and on the left hand side of the green there is a bunker where the green and approach fall away toward the bunker.

Over the green at the back right again there are some trees and then the 7th green. In recent years the green has been altered to make it a more level surface as any ball on the green rolled off to the left hand side rough which was always a bit unfair.

The fifth hole is a short par 3 of 160 yards stroke index 15.

This is a very narrow raised green which is a bit awkward to stay on especially if there is a cross wind.

There is a small grass bunker just short of the green to hold your drive or deflect the ball to either side of the green.

Beyond and to the right hand side of the green there are some trees to catch a long ball and beyond the trees is the farm fie3lds which are out of bounds

This is one of the easier holes on the course hence the stroke index.

The sixth hole is a par 5, 555 yards stroke index 11.

All the way from the tee to the green there is an out of bounds ditch separating Rishton Golf Club from Accrington Golf Club.

On the left hand side at driving distance there is a very soggy ground under repair hollow which is currently work in progress and eventually will be a copse of trees. Please play a provisional ball if you think you have gone toward this GUR because if you don't find your ball you must go back to the tee to play another ball.

From the GUR to the bunker there are trees all the way down making your second shot a bit more difficult although it is quite a wide fairway.

At the bottom of the fairway there is a bunker on the left hand side and a grass bunker on the right and the green has small hills surrounding the green apart from the front.

The seventh Hole is a par 4, 314 yards stroke index 9.

On the driving distance there are trees all the way up on the left hand side and a few trees & bushes on the right hand side to catch a short or wayward drive.

This hole is up hill and with the second shot there are trees all the way up on the left hand side and trees on the far right hand side up the the eighth tee bed.

The green is again surrounded by hills apart from the front.

Please take care when playing your shot into the green as the eighth tee bed is quite close

The eighth hole is a par 4, 326 yards stroke index 17.

At the driving distance for a lot of golfers there are several trees and bushes tending to push your drive over to the left hand side but again there are trees separating the eighth and ninth fairways.

On your second shot into the green there are quite a few trees on the right hand side preventing you from bringing the ball in from the right.

The whole fairway slopes from right to left  and again the green is surrounded by hills apart from the front but at the back it is very easy to run through the green and over the back leaving a tricky shot back depending on where the pin is situated.

The ninth hole is a par 4, 410 yards stroke index 3.

This one of the more testing holes on the course as the right hand side has a lot of trees and beyond the trees there is the motorway fence which is out of bounds with no chance to recover your ball from a wayward tee shot.

There are a few trees close to the tee bed on the left hand side.

Many of our club golfers play this hole as a par 5 due to the carry of the second shot as there is a ravine stopping the second shot from carrying far enough. The ravine is a water hazard all the way from left to right so there is a very long carry to consider.

To the right of the green there is a line of trees and again the motorway fence which is out of bounds.

The second nine holes are almost identical to the first nine apart from a few change of tee bed positions on the 1st / 10th holes

2nd and 11th holes

4th and 13th holes (this is separate hole altogether which is shown later)

6th and 15th holes

7th and 16th holes.

The thirteenth hole is a par 3, 181 yards stroke index 14

From the tee bed the farm field is almost within touching distance and this is out of bounds and extends down almost to the green.

The drive on this hole can vary from an 8 iron to a driver depending on the wind direction.

From the drive having cleared the field there are som trees at the back of the field and some on the right hand side of the green.

On the left of the fairway is a water hazard ditch, narrow at the right hand end opening out to a bowl at the left hand end.

The green is banked on all sides apart from the front and at the back are some well established trees and bushes.
