Dear Members, It is with great sadness that I have to report that Roger Taylor passed away monday teatime after a lengthy illness.
He had been a member of this club for a long time. The word character can not be used lightly in respect of Roger. He loved being a member of the club and made alot of friends. He immersed himself in the game of golf both at the club, on trips and playing abroad with his friend Peter. He always atttended social events and loved the banter within the club. He always had a joke to tell although not always a good one.
I know from the number of messages I have had that Roger will be sadly missed at this club.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time and I will pass your condolences on.
